"MaryEllen spoke about the dangers and the signs of sucide. With a large crowd, there were good questions and information."
June 21- Loving Yourself
"MaryEllen came back and talk to us about loving yourself for who we are. Minus the exterior looks, we should love the person we are in the inside."
June 23- Miembro Initiation 7pm
"On June 23, Encuentros initiated 11 new 'miembros' to the Encuentros family. They all promised to be faithful to the movement and were receptive to the responsabilities it entailed. We ask for prayers so they may be opened to the call of the Lord in all of their endeavors."
June 26- Retreat for kids ages 12-15
"On June 26, Encuentros Juveniles had their first ever 12-15 year old retreat. Entitled "The Jeremiah Project" the leaders spoke to the 25 retreatants about the importance of saying yes to the Lord, regardless of age. The week after we had a small meeting to reunite with those present at the retreat. It was a great success and we hope to continue to evangelize to the younger crowd in the months and years to come."
June 28- Faith of the Catholic Church (the Creed)
"On June 28 we had a talk on the Creed. Father Raul Quesada spoke to us on the Mysteries of our Faith. All compiled in the prayer we say during every mass. He invited us to actually pray it and not just say it. We must pray that we may be capable to fully understand those mysteries that are so essential in having faith."
